Here's an example of a photograph. Remember the discussion about the uses for each image type? Look at the file size and quality of the below images. Which one would you choose for a web page? The quality is very similar, but the file size... JPG is the best choice for photos. In this example, the physical image size of 90 X 67 was used to keep the page small. A larger image would create even greater differences in file size.
